The hospital provides surgery, medical care, therapies and outpatient and diagnostic services for children, young people, and adults.

Our hospital has 73 beds with medical services including six operating theatres, diagnostic imaging, high dependency unit (HDU), outpatient department, and a walk-in urgent care centre. We also have a private GP service and pharmacy.

Our £2.1 million recently refurbished wards and modern facilities provide patients with the highest standard of healthcare accommodation, making our hospital a wonderful place to work.

St John’s Hospice

Our St John’s Hospice is on the ground floor of our hospital. The hospice has an 18 bed ward providing 24-hour inpatient care and wellbeing centre for day case patients. It also runs external services across North London.

We are registered to provide maternity and midwifery services, treatment of disease, disorder or injury, surgical procedures, diagnostic and screening procedures, and management of supply of blood and blood derived products.

We are situated in St John’s Wood in the centre of London, within the City of Westminster. Local known sites include Lord’s Cricket Ground and the famous Abbey Road Studios.

Our closest London Underground and local rail connections

We are just three minutes walk from St John’s Wood underground station on the Jubilee Line. We are 15 minutes from Maida Vale underground station (Bakerloo Line), and 25 minutes from Baker Street Station (Bakerloo, Jubilee, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Line).

Bus connections

Bus routes 13, 46 and 113 pass along Wellington Road. The nearest stop is just before St. John’s Wood Underground Station. The 187 bus route goes along Circus Road, which stops a short 3 minute walk from the main hospital entrance. Bus routes 139 and 189 travel along Abbey Road. The nearest stop is at the point that Grove End road becomes Abbey Road.
