St Michaels is a residential care home in a small village called Temple Ewell, very close to Dover in Kent. It is a large house with communal spaces and 5 self-contained flats (with their own bathroom, living room and kitchen). The team includes a Service Manager, Support Workers, Deputy Manager and PBS Practitioner. Specialist staff training is provided to help support the residents including Makaton training, epilepsy training, autism and rescue medication.
Support is given to residents who have difficulties with communication, moderate to severe behaviours that challenge, epilepsy, PICA or a forensic background, also people with a physical disability.
The support team at St Michaels are trained to meet the needs of the service users in residence, including people handling training.

Temple Ewell, where St Michaels is situated, lies on the outskirts of Dover. It can be accessed by the local train station (5 min walk and then a very short train journey to Dover), or by bus. The home is a short drive from the A2.
The village has a small convenience store, and larger shopping options are available in nearby Dover.
