The Merlyn Vaz NHS UTC (Urgent Treatment Centre) is in Spinney Road in the North Evington suburb of Leicester. It is a mostly residential area with a mix of local convenience stores, supermarkets and independent shops. For people with young families who might be looking to relocate to work here there are schools - Crown Hills Community College and St Barnabas Primary School - and, of course, plenty to do in Leicester city centre.

Access to the Evington area can be had via bus (the 53 and 56 and the 38 and 38A. Leicester Railway Station is just over 2 miles away and provides access to locations further afield on the Midland Main Line (London, Nottingham and Sheffield, for instance).
