CNS Infection Prevention & Control, Galway

Part Time - 24 hours per week, Permanent

In partnership with our client, a JCI accredited hospital in Galway city, Cpl are seeking to recruit a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Infection Control. This is a permanent, part time position.

This acute-care hospital provides a wide range of surgical and medical services underpinned by the latest technology and expert consultants.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the position of CNS Infection Prevention & Control.

The appointed person will work as a member of the Infection Prevention and Control Team providing specialist infection control advice, support and expertise to all healthcare staff.

Responsibilities include the prevention and control of infection, surveillance and auditing of infection control practices, the development and implementation of policies, guidelines and procedures.

Requirements for the positions include the following:

·        5 years post registration experience (with at least three years’ experience in Infection Control)

·        Proficiency in all Microsoft applications is essential

·        Excellent interpersonal, leadership, accountability and communication skills

·        Appropriate clinical skills with evidence of continuing professional development

·        Qualification in Infection Control or willingness to pursue same

·        Flexible approach to work patterns
